Update for re-enrolling learners
If you were already enrolled in Version 1 of this programme up to and including 9 July 2024 and are currently enrolled in your final course(s) in this version of the programme, once you successfully complete all of the course requirements you will graduate with Version 1 of this programme.
If you still have courses to enrol in to complete this qualification, you will be transitioned over to Version 2, the new version of this programme as the courses become available.
Please note that, unless there are exceptional circumstances, all courses in this programme should be successfully completed within 6 years from your first enrolment.
If you are transitioning to Version 2, you will receive full credit for the study you have completed in Version 1.
If you have not yet requested a Transition Study Plan please fill out the form on our website and we will be in touch with a study plan. This will indicate the amount of credit you will be awarded and which Version 2 courses you need to complete.
If you have any questions, or need assistance, please contact us.
Check the Study plan PDF to see the suggested order to study your courses. How long it will take you to complete the qualification will depend on whether you study one, two or three courses over two consecutive blocks.
You should include CON101 Communication in the Construction Industry in your first block of study in this programme.
We do not recommend students enrol in DAT101 Concept Design in their first trimester of study, unless they are proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software; or have sufficient time and resources available in their first block to allow them to acquire the required CAD skills. It should be noted that learning CAD does take considerable time.
Qualification Structure
This programme is made up 15 courses. Each course is worth 15 credits unless specified.
DAT104 Detailed Design is a 30 credit course and has a 32 week enrolment period from the start of the course.
To be awarded the qualification it must be completed in no more than 6 years of first enrolment, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
