Entry requirements:

To gain entry into this qualification, you need to have achieved the following from the New Zealand Qualifications Framework:

  • Applicants must have NCEA Level 2, or equivalent.

 20 years old or over

If you are 20 years old or over and don’t hold the minimum entry requirements you will be eligible to be enrolled where your previous educational, work or life experience indicates you have a reasonable likelihood of success.

 

 Software requirements

Learners will need access to a computer drafting package. Learner licenses are available, along with free online tutorials for students to learn the software. Students will need to allow additional time to learn the third-party software.

 

English language requirements

Domestic students for whom English, Māori or New Zealand sign language is not their first language must also have an IELTS (General or Academic) score of 5.0 with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent.

International students and domestic students living overseas

You can study this programme if you're a New Zealand Citizen living overseas.

You can study this programme if you’re an international student living in New Zealand. You will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.

Computer and Internet requirements

To complete this programme, you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer. The Interior Décor courses cannot be completed by Chromebook, tablet, or phone. While you can read the content and watch videos, there are technical and software requirements throughout each course that you will need a laptop or desktop PC to do.

You will also need access to a reliable broadband internet connection and a data plan able to support online learning such as streaming videos (including YouTube), downloading content, and writing and submitting online assessments.
