Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission into this programme, applicants must hold 40 credits at NCEA Level 1 (including 10 Literacy credits and 10 Numeracy credits); or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 2; or equivalent.
If you do not meet the admission requirements stated above and believe you have the level of preparedness for study at this level, you may apply but will need to provide relevant evidence to support your application for admission.
Additional requirements for REA registration
The Real Estate Authority sets the following requirements for obtaining a license:
- the applicant must be 18 years or older
- the applicant must apply within three years of gaining their qualification
- the applicant must meet the REA’s criteria for a “fit and proper” person.
Language Literacy requirements
All applicants (international and domestic) for whom English or te reo Māori is not a first language must provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the programme as demonstrated by an IELTS score of 5.5 (general or academic) with no individual band lower than 5.0 from one test taken in the preceding two years, or an equivalent described in NZQA Rules and on our website.

Literacy requirements for University Entrance
International learners and domestic students living overseas
You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international learner living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand, you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.
You can also study this programme if you’re a New Zealand citizen living overseas.

Maximum Programme Completion Time
To be awarded the qualification, the programme must be completed in no more than 18 months of first enrolment.
Computer and internet requirements
This programme is delivered online. To complete this programme you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer, reliable broadband internet connection and a data plan able to support online learning such as streaming of videos (including YouTube), downloading content, and writing and submitting online assessments. If you are unsure if your current computer or internet access allows you to complete your online learning with us, please contact us before applying to enrol.
