To study this programme you must hold NCEA Level 1, or equivalent.
If you are studying this programme you are only able to enrol in one course at a time.
20 years old or over
Applicants who have attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the minimum entry requirements will be eligible to be enrolled where their previous educational, work or life experience indicates they have a reasonable likelihood of success.
To study this programme you need to have access to a garden, horticultural or agricultural area. An example of this could be friend’s garden, public gardens, reserves etc.
This course also requires you to both understand and use common pruning tools. You will need to have access to at least three of the following pruning tools:

Domestic learners for whom English or Māori is not their first language must also have an IELTS (Academic or General) score of 5.0 with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent.

This programme is delivered online. To complete this programme you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer, reliable broadband internet connection and a data plan able to support online learning such as streaming of videos (including YouTube), downloading content, and writing and submitting online assessments.
