Entry requirements
- 40 credits NCEA Level 1, including 10 literacy credits and 10 numeracy credits or
- New Zealand Certificate in Computing (Intermediate User) Level 3 or
- Demonstrated equivalent through study, work and/or life experience

English language requirements
If you live in New Zealand and English or Māori is not your first language you must have an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.5, with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent.
International learners must also have an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent.

International learners and domestic learners living overseas
You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international learner living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand, you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.
You can also study this programme if you’re a New Zealand citizen living overseas.

Computer and internet requirements
Courses in this programme are delivered online. This means you will access courses content and submit assessments online. For online learning you need regular access to a computer and reliable internet.
