They will reflect on workplace practices, policies, and procedures, how these are linked to identified documents, and contribute to best practice. Ākonga will describe how they implement tools and strategies in their role within a wrap-around team. They will discuss how the team uses a person-centred approach with tangata whaikaha to overcome challenges.
This course provides ākonga the opportunity to describe community integration and gain an in-depth understanding of the services and resources that are available within their community to support their work. Ākonga will be able to identify and apply workplace risk management tools and strategies. Risk management tools and strategies are linked to the organisation’s workplace policies and procedures. This course explores ethical practice within the health and wellbeing setting, specifically focussed on the disability sector.
