Entry requirements
You must meet the General and Language Literacy admission requirements. You may also be required to provide evidence that you have the capability to complete the programme requirements.
If you do not meet these requirements and believe you are capable for study at this level, you may apply but will need to provide relevant evidence to support your application.
Language literacy requirements
International applicants must provide evidence that you have the necessary English language proficiency required for the programme of an:
- IELTS score of 5.0 (general or academic) with no individual band lower than 5.0. This must be from one test taken in in the last two years, or
- Equivalent test described in NZQA’s rules linked on our website.
Maximum programme completion time
To be awarded the qualification, you must complete it within four years of your first enrolment.
International students and domestic students living overseas
You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international student living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.
You can also study this programme if you’re a New Zealand citizen living overseas.

Computer and internet requirements
All courses in this programme are online. This means, you will access the course content and submit assignments online. For online learning and to complete assessments, you need to have regular access to a computer or device, and reliable internet access.
