The new NZ2454 New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) (Level 3) unified Te Pūkenga programme opened for enrolments on 22 November 2023.

Current Learners
If you began studying NZ2454 New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) (Level 3) up to and including December 2023, we recommend that you continue your study in this version of the programme.
Please note, you must successfully complete all four courses that make up the programme within two years of your first enrolment to be awarded the Open Polytechnic version of the qualification.
However, the option of transitioning to the new unified programme is also available to you.

Qualification Structure
You need to complete the four compulsory courses to gain this qualification.
You have the option of enrolling into one, two, three, or all four courses at the same time. Each course has a 20-week enrolment period which comprises of 16 weeks teaching time, and a further 4 weeks should additional time be required.
If you have enrolled into more than one course at a time or have overlapping enrolment periods (such as the start dates being just one or two months apart), you will have competing assessment due dates and will need to manage your study more closely.
The workload for each course is approximately 13 hours per week.
