Learners who successfully complete this online course will be able to:
- Apply basic principles of land surveying and use survey instruments.
- Apply fundamental principles and techniques of levelling, traversing and co-ordinate calculations.
- Use equipment and techniques for field and distance measurements.
Assessment:
- 50% internally assessed
- 50% examination.

Labs requirements
There is a 2 1/2 day Laboratory for this course.
The venue for these Laboratories may be either Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, or Hamilton.
Your lecturer/tutor will confirm the actual dates within the first week of the course.
