You will describe and demonstrate effective communication techniques as a strategy to minimise the impact of challenging behaviours.
You will explore the holistic needs of a person you support and how these impact on health and well-being. You will use personal planning to help empower the person you support to address their holistic needs.

Students who successfully complete this online course will be able to
- Provide support to a person whose behaviour presents challenges in a health or wellbeing setting
- Describe and apply communication methods that help minimise challenging behaviour
- Describe a person’s holistic needs and their impact on a person’s health and wellbeing
