This is the first course of the Teacher Education Refresh (TER) training scheme, OP7701 Teaching as a Profession, for teachers who need to regain their Practising Certificate as required by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.

When you successfully complete this online course you will be able to:
- Critically discuss what it means to be a member of the teaching profession in Aotearoa New Zealand and how to engage in professional, respectful and collaborative relationships
- Examine teaching responsibilities under statutory, regulatory and professional requirements and apply these to teaching practice situations
- Design a professional development plan, analysing key actions, resources, and support needed to achieve professional goals.
