This project-based course will enable you to apply advanced information technology principles and techniques to produce a solution to an industry based project within your specialist field.

The focus is on providing practical experience involving project management, the application of independent in-depth skills and knowledge-based learning, and reflective practice.

This is a 40 credit course that runs across two trimesters. Please factor this in when planning your study load.

What you will learn

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to

  • Plan and develop an original proposal for an information technology project
  • Critically analyse, scope and refine project specifications
  • Produce an information technology-based solution to an industry based project
  • Manage project timelines, goals and milestone
  • Develop a substantial report recording experiences, findings and outcomes
  • Demonstrate independent learning and comprehensive reflective practice and apply professional work ethics.
