You will have the skills and knowledge to assess diverse learners, including youth.  Using workplace assessment resources, you will conduct assessments, make assessment judgements using evidence based criteria and clearly communicate your assessment decisions to a range of people, including feedback on assessment design and process.  Quality assurance systems including consistency management are also explored.

Students who successfully complete this online course will be able to

  • Conduct ethical workplace assessments which comply with standards and are inclusive, including Māori perspectives and Pacific approaches.
  • Provide effective assessment feedback to diverse learners in workplace and/or youth assessment settings. 
  • Evaluate assessment design and process and communicate results to organisational stakeholders to inform ongoing workplace assessment practice.
  • Contribute to organisational quality assurance of assessment-related activities, including consistency management systems and processes
  • Reflect on and evaluate own assessment practice and develop a plan to improve it.
