Vaccination Information
Organising a placement
You are required to arrange a placement that is appropriate to your course of study and enables you to engage in a significant learning experience that complements your theoretical study. You will be responsible for negotiating a supervised placement in workplace settings different from your current role (if already employed).
The placement must involve a substantial amount of work relevant to your course of study, and it must last for a minimum of 100 hours. In addition, this course requires research and reflection. The total study time for this course will be approximately 200 hours.

Enrolling into this course
You must have successfully completed either 40 credits at Level 7 in your major subject or five out of the six relevant diploma courses before you can enrol in this course.
For your enrolment to be approved, you must
- Discuss your practicum plans with the Course Leader, who will approve your general practicum area and appoint an academic supervisor. Your academic supervisor will be a lecturer or an academic staff member or a subject matter expert from your discipline area.
- Once you have discussed your practicum plans, the Course Leader will approve your enrolment. This process must be completed four weeks before the start of the trimester. For more information contact us.
