This online marketing course is for people requiring an understanding of broad principles and trends in marketing and their application to various organisations.

This online course is suited to  people who are first-time learners of marketing and preparing for careers or skills development in the business area of marketing and general management.

At the completion of this course you will be able to contribute towards marketing planning and marketing activities within an organisation. The knowledge base gained and the skills learned in this introductory course will prepare you to grasp more advanced topics covered in other specialist marketing courses.

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Explain the dimensions and progress of marketing
  • Analyse the influence of the marketing environment on business activities
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of consumer behaviour, marketing research, information systems, segmentation and target marketing
  • Demonstrate an understanding and application of marketing mix and strategy principles and how they relate to marketing planning.
