I am the Librarian and Learning Support Liaison Librarian for Education. I provide support for students and staff in research, teaching, course development, and information literacy and evaluation.
Relevant experience
I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Waikato in History and English, a Master of Arts degree in History from Western Carolina University in North Carolina, and a Master of Library and Information Science Degree from Valdosta State University in Georgia, USA.
After many years in the USA, working as a librarian at university libraries in Georgia and Missouri, and the library at a small community college in the mountains of North Carolina, I returned to NZ in 2019 and found my current role at the Open Polytechnic.
I am passionate about research, citing, information literacy, and lifelong learning, and am excited to help students at the Open Polytechnic achieve their academic goals.
